Brief Introduction

Congratulations to the team members of the "Globalisation and Autonomy" project who have just been awarded an MCRI by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC). Over the next five years, beginning in early 2002, the team members directed under Professor William Coleman, of McMaster University, will conduct research on the relationships of globalization and autonomy. When the study is completed, Coleman and his research team will have produced seven books, all of which will be translated into Chinese, and will have created a multimedia compendium on globalization that will make their findings available to the general public, both in CD-rom format and on the internet.
