Brief Introduction
Congratulations
to the team members of the "Globalisation and Autonomy"
project who have just been awarded an MCRI by the Social Sciences
and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC). Over the
next five years, beginning in early 2002, the team members
directed under Professor William Coleman, of McMaster University,
will conduct research on the relationships of globalization
and autonomy. When
the study is completed, Coleman and his research team will
have produced seven books, all of which will be translated
into Chinese, and will have created a multimedia compendium
on globalization that will make their findings available to
the general public, both in CD-rom format and on the internet.
